MEET MATTHEW!

Matthew DenOtter of Boyne City, Michigan is a healthcare executive, small-business founder, and Congressional candidate committed to serving his community with integrity, faith, and practical leadership. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Matthew brings a lifelong connection to the state and a deep understanding of the challenges facing Michigan families.

Matthew graduated from Calvin University, after which he began his career in healthcare in Harvey, Michigan, (just outside of Marquette!) where he spent four years working and living in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It was in Michigan’s 1st Congressional District where Matthew learned firsthand the values of hard work, community, and service. Afterward, he spent two years at Calvin Seminary, developing a strong foundation in faith, service, and ethical leadership. Matthew went on to build a successful 22-year career in healthcare as a pharmaceutical representative, working directly with providers and patients and gaining firsthand insight into the challenges facing rural and regional healthcare systems. His professional journey took him across Michigan, but District 1 is where his career began, and where he now seeks to give back through public service.

In 2022, Matthew stepped forward to run for U.S. Congress in Michigan’s 11th District, motivated by a belief that everyday Michiganders, not career politicians, should help shape the future of the country. Following that race, Matthew faced financial adversity, an experience that strengthened his resolve and deepened his understanding of the economic pressures facing families, workers, and entrepreneurs.

Rather than stepping back, Matthew stepped up. He founded CWC Medical Management, growing the company from the ground up into a thriving healthcare management business. In just two years, CWC expanded to 32 employees and generated over $100 million in revenue in 2025. He has also helped create multiple 1099 independent contractor opportunities, supporting job growth and economic mobility across Michigan. Matthew’s commitment to civic engagement began at the grassroots level. He has served as a grassroots delegate in Michigan for the Republican Party, represented his district at the Michigan Republican Party State Convention, and remains an active donor and supporter of conservative causes. In 2025, Matthew donated $20,000 to the Michigan GOP and an additional $70,000 to Republican candidates across the state, helping strengthen local races and conservative leadership throughout Michigan.

Beyond politics and business, Matthew is deeply committed to serving others. He regularly supports individuals and families in need- such as donating $10,000 to help a family replace furnace after losing their home to a fire, and assisting another individual in crisis who, through prayer and community support, received a freezer and a year’s supply of food. His faith guides his actions, and he is an active member of his church, where he participates in service and outreach.

Matthew lives with his wife Lisa DenOtter, to whom he has been married for ten years, and their 9-year-old daughter, Violet, a dedicated gymnast and soccer player. He is a proud pet owner to their dog, Dash, an active CPL holder, and a strong believer in faith, personal responsibility, and service to others. Having started his career in Michigan’s 1st Congressional District, Matthew DenOtter is now returning to serve the district that shaped him. He is running for Congress to bring real- world experience, principled leadership, and a servant’s heart to Washington, ensuring District 1 has a strong, independent voice focused on results, not politics.
